Error: SQL Execution Internal Error

Issue

The following error appears:

Contact Snowflake to resolve this issue. SQL execution internal error. Processing aborted due to error.

This error may also include a Snowflake error code or incident number.

Environment

Destination: Snowflake

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Check the Snowflake status page for any active incidents.

2. Check the Fivetran status page for any active incidents affecting Snowflake destinations.

3. If there is no active incident, contact Snowflake Support and provide the full error message, including the Snowflake error code and incident number.

4. After Snowflake resolves the issue, manually sync any affected connections in Fivetran.

   i. In the Fivetran dashboard, go to the affected connection page.

   ii. In the top right, click Sync.

5. If the issue persists after Snowflake confirms resolution, or if you see the same error across multiple destinations without an active Snowflake incident, contact the Fivetran support team.

Cause

This issue occurs when Snowflake aborts query execution with an internal server-side error while Fivetran writes data to your destination. It is not typically caused by incorrect credentials, missing permissions, or a Fivetran connector configuration issue.
