Can I Use Fivetran in More Than One Region?
Question
I want to process data in multiple regions due to compliance, performance, or availability reasons. Can I use Fivetran across multiple regions, or am I limited to only one region?
Environment
- All connectors
- All destinations
Answer
Yes, you can process your Fivetran data in multiple regions. However, each of your destination connections and the groups associated with them can only operate in one region. For more details, see our data residency documentation.
To change an existing destination connection's region, do the following:
- In Fivetran, go to your destination connection page.
- Click Actions and then select Edit connection details.
- Use the Data processing location drop-down menu to select the new region from which you want Fivetran to run your syncs.
- Click Save & Test.
If you want to process data in multiple regions, you must create a new destination connection for each additional region you want to use.
