Error: SAML SSO Is Not Enabled for Your Account
Issue
While signing in using SAML authentication or testing a SAML configuration, the following error appears:
SAML SSO is not enabled for your account. Contact your Fivetran account administrator.
Environment
- Account settings
- SAML authentication
Resolution
To resolve this issue, do the following:
- In Fivetran, click Account Settings > General.
- On the Account Settings tab, under Authentication Settings, ensure the Enable SAML authentication option is toggled to ON.
- (Optional) If you want to use Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning, ensure the Enable user provisioning option is toggled to ON.
See our SAML Config documentation for more information.
In addition, if you have multiple Fivetran accounts, you must establish a unique SAML configuration in your SSO provider for each Fivetran account.
Cause
This issue may occur due to any of the following reasons:
- The Enable SAML authentication option is toggled to OFF in your Fivetran account settings.
- A new user is attempting to sign in, but the Enable user provisioning option is toggled to OFF in your Fivetran account settings.
- You're attempting to use the same SAML configuration for multiple Fivetran accounts.
