Environment
- Account Settings
- JumpCloud
Answer
To configure JumpCloud SSO with Fivetran, do the following:
In JumpCloud
To begin your setup in JumpCloud, follow the instructions in JumpCloud's Creating a new JumpCloud Application Integration documentation. While setting up your new integration, apply the following configurations to the connector fields:
- Under JumpCloud Metadata, click Copy Metadata URL, then paste the value in the IdP Entity ID field.
You must also provide the metadata URL value while completing your setup in Fivetran. See the steps below for more information.
- In the SP Entity ID and ACS URL fields, enter
https://fivetran.com/login/saml/return
. - Set the SAMLSubject Name ID Format to SAML 2.0 and unspecified.
- Set the SAMLSubject Name ID to email.
- Check the Sign Assertion box.
In Fivetran
- Go to Account Settings, then click General.
- Go to the Account Settings tab.
- In the Authentication Settings section, set the Required authentication type to SAML.
- Set the Enable SAML authentication toggle to ON.
- Enter your Sign on URL.
- In the Issuer field, enter the JumpCloud metadata URL.
Ensure the metadata URL is the same value you provided in JumpCloud's IdP Entity ID field. See the steps above for more information.
- Enter your Public certificate.
- In the Entity ID field, enter
https://fivetran.com/login/saml/return
. - Click Save.
You must click Save after each step in the Account Settings tab. We only save changes to one field at a time. If you update multiple fields before clicking Save, we only reflect changes to one of the fields.
