Environment
Account settings
Answer
No, it's not possible to update a user's email address in Fivetran. To change a user's email address, you must:
- Remove the user associated with the old email address.
- Re-add the user to your account using the new email address.
For instructions on adding or removing users, see our Users & Permissions documentation.
Removing a user doesn't impact the functionality of any connections they added. For more information, see What Happens When I Remove a User From My Account?
Accounts with SCIM enabled
If your System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) integration doesn't support updating the user's email, do the following:
- In Fivetran, go to Account Settings > General.
- On the Account Settings tab, scroll down to the SCIM Config section.
- Disable SCIM by setting the Enable SCIM Provisioning toggle to OFF.
- Remove the applicable user.
- Return to Account Settings > General > Account Settings, then re-enable SCIM by setting the Enable SCIM Provisioning toggle to ON.
- Use your SCIM integration to provision the user again with the updated email address.
