How Can I Set Up an Aurora MySQL Destination Without Publicly Exposing the Database?

Question

How can I set up an Aurora MySQL destination without making my database publicly accessible?

Environment

Destination: Aurora MySQL

Answer

To keep your database private, connect your Aurora MySQL database using an SSH tunnel. If your environment must initiate an outbound connection to Fivetran, use a reverse SSH tunnel instead.
