Will Fivetran Trigger a Historical Re-Sync If I Change the Destination Region or Cloud Provider?
Question
If I change a destination's region or cloud service provider, will Fivetran trigger a historical re-sync for existing connections?
Environment
All connectors
Answer
No, we don't trigger a historical re-sync when you change a destination's cloud service provider or region. We preserve connection state and sync cursors, and the next sync resumes from the last successful checkpoint, syncing only new or updated data.
We may pause syncs for up to five minutes while we provision compute resources, but we don't delete or fully re-sync data as part of this change.
