Why Does the Sync History Chart Show Loaded Rows Every Sync With SharePoint UFR Enabled?
Question
Why does my SharePoint connection's Sync History chart show loaded rows every sync when unstructured file replication is enabled, even if files haven’t changed?
Environment
Connector: SharePoint
Answer
When unstructured file replication is enabled, Fivetran refreshes file metadata during every sync so we can detect deleted files. This is necessary to reliably detect deleted files across all sync scenarios.
The loaded rows count reflects these metadata updates. It doesn't mean unchanged file contents are reloaded. File content is reloaded only when a file is added or modified.
It's not possible to exclude unchanged file metadata updates from the loaded rows count.
