How can I avoid generating excess MAR while migrating a server?

Answer

To avoid generating excess MAR while migrating a server, do the following:

1. In Fivetran, go to your connector page.
2. In the top right corner, click SYNC NOW, then wait for the sync to complete.
3. Pause your connector by setting the ENABLED toggle to OFF.
4. Migrate your server.
5. On your Fivetran connector page, select the Setup tab.
6. Click Re-sync all historical data.
7. In the confirmation pop-up window, click Re-sync Connector.
8. Unpause your connector by setting the ENABLED toggle to ON.

IMPORTANT: The steps above will not help you avoid generating excess MAR if your connector is configured to use the Fivetran Teleport Sync method.
