SAP

SAP is an enterprise platform for resource planning and analytics.

Fivetran provides different connectors for SAP, depending on the underlying database, SAP version, and license type:

• Connectors denoted with NetWeaver: These connectors work with an SAP NetWeaver Foundation license (or equivalent) that allows access using the SAP NetWeaver application layer and APIs.

• Connectors not denoted with NetWeaver: These connectors connect directly to the underlying SAP database and require a full-use SAP license that permits direct database access.

TIP: consult your SAP licensing agreement to ensure you have the appropriate licenses for your chosen connector.

Fivetran offers the following solutions for replicating data from your SAP source database:

• SAP ERP on HANA connector
• High-Volume Agent (HVA) SAP connectors
• HVR - SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver

Table selection

SAP systems may contain tens of thousands of tables in a single schema. You can select, search, and filter the tables on the Schema tab of your Fivetran connector dashboard. For more information on the Schema tab, see our Connector Schemas documentation.
