What Does the Data Checks Setting Do?

In the Setup tab, under Sync settings, there is a Data checks toggle with the following description:

We continually sample data in your source and destination to confirm that values match. Disabling data checks reduces our ability to detect and investigate data integrity issues if they occur.

What does Fivetran do when this setting is enabled?

When you set the Data checks toggle to ON, Fivetran runs a low-footprint background compare job for the connection. This compare job samples 10,000 rows from the source and destination and checks whether the values match. This helps us to detect and investigate data integrity issues.
