Data From Multiple SAP Clients Appears in the Destination
Issue
A SAP ERP on HANA connection is configured for a specific SAP client, such as client 100. However, the destination contains records from other clients, such as records where MANDT=110.
Environment
Connector: SAP ERP on HANA
Resolution
To restrict replication to the SAP client configured for the connection, enable MANDT filtering:
- In SAP, open transaction
/N/FIVETRAN/CONFIG. - Enable the
MANDTfilter setting. - Configure the filter for the required SAP client, such as client
100. - Save the configuration as the active variant.
- Verify that subsequent syncs only replicate data for the required SAP client.
Enabling the filter doesn't remove data that has already been replicated from other clients. After validating the filter, trigger a historical re-sync for the affected tables to update the destination using the new filtering configuration. For instructions, see How to Trigger Historical Re-Syncs
For more information, see MANDT filtering.
Cause
We use the CLIENT value you provide in the connection setup form to establish the SAP RFC login session. We don't restrict table replication to rows with a matching MANDT value. MANDT filtering is disabled by default. When it isn't enabled, we may replicate records from multiple SAP clients.
