What Time Zone Does the Timestamp Column in Shadow Tables Use?

Question

What time zone does the /fivetran/timestamp column in Fivetran shadow tables use?

Environment

Connector: SAP ERP on HANA

Answer

The /fivetran/timestamp column in shadow tables uses UTC. We retrieve timestamps using the SAP CURRENT_UTCTIMESTAMP function. Therefore, the timestamp isn't affected by the source server's local time zone.
