Why Are CLOB Columns Greyed Out in the Schema Tab?

My Oracle connection uses the Fivetran Teleport Sync incremental sync method and I need to sync a source column with the CLOB data type. However, the column is greyed out in the Schema tab and I can't select it. Why?

• Connector: Oracle
• Incremental sync method: Fivetran Teleport Sync

Answer

Fivetran doesn't support syncing CLOB or other LOB columns when using Fivetran Teleport Sync for Oracle connections. As a result, CLOB columns are greyed out in the Schema tab and can't be selected. To sync CLOB data types, use the Binary Log Reader incremental sync method instead.
