How to Trigger Historical Re-Syncs for Fivetran Connections and Tables

How can I initiate a historical re-sync at the connection or table level?

Follow the instructions to trigger a historical re-sync:
For the entire connection
To perform a historical connection re-sync, follow the steps below:
- In Fivetran, go to your connection page.
- Select the Setup tab.
- Click Re-sync all historical data.
- In the confirmation pop-up window, click Re-sync Connection.
For a single table
Not all connectors support table-level re-syncs. To confirm, go the Features section in the connector's Fivetran documentation.
- In Fivetran, go to your connection page.
- Select the Schema tab.
- Scroll or use the search bar to find the relevant table, then click Re-sync.
- In the confirmation pop-up window, click Start re-sync.
For multiple tables
Not all connectors support table-level re-syncs. To confirm, go the Features section in the connector's Fivetran documentation.
- In Fivetran, go to your connection page.
- Select the Schema tab.
- In the top right, pause the connection by setting the ENABLED toggle to OFF.
- Scroll or use the search bar to find the relevant table, then click Re-sync.
- In the confirmation pop-up window, click Start re-sync.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each applicable table.
- Resume the connection by setting the ENABLED toggle to ON.
How to track the progress of historical re-syncs
To track the progress of your connection or table-level historical sync, go to the Status tab and check the Sync History Chart.
MAR impact of historical re-syncs
Historical re-syncs don't count towards paid MAR under our updated pricing model launched on March 1, 2025. If you're on an annual contract signed before that date, you'll need to transition to the latest pricing by renewing your contract. For more information, see our pricing documentation.
