Dynatrace Setup Guide
Follow our step-by-step setup guide to integrate Fivetran logs into your Dynatrace account.
Prerequisites
To connect Dynatrace to Fivetran, you need a Dynatrace account.
Setup instructions
Find Dynatrace environment ID
You need to find your environment ID to connect Dynatrace to Fivetran. You can find your environment ID in your Dynatrace account:
- Sign in to the Dynatrace SSO.
- After signing in, you can find your environment ID in the URL of your Dynatrace account. It is usually in the
https://<environment-id>.live.dynatrace.comformat.
Generate access token
- In Dynatrace, on the navigation menu, go to Manage > Access Tokens.
- Click Create new token.
- Enter a descriptive token name.
- Select Ingest logs scope.
- Click Generate token.
- Make a note of the generated token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- Go to the external log setup form.
- Enter your Dynatrace environment ID obtained in the Find Dynatrace environment ID step.
- Enter the access token created in the Generate access token step.
- Click Save & Test. We’ll take it from here and sync your logs to Dynatrace.
Setup test
