Newly Copied SharePoint Files Are Not Synced

Issue

Files copied to a SharePoint folder from another location don't sync to the destination.

Environment

Connector: SharePoint

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. In SharePoint, open the copied file.
2. Edit and save the file to update its modified timestamp.
3. In Fivetran, go to your SharePoint connection page.
4. In the top right, click Sync.

Cause

This issue occurs when you copy a file from another SharePoint location without modifying it. When this happens, SharePoint doesn't update the file's lastModifiedDateTime value, which Fivetran uses to detect new or updated files.
