What TLS Certificate Should I Trust?

Issue

When configuring a database connector, if the source is configured to use TLS to establish a connection, then you must confirm the certificate that can be trusted for Fivetran.

Resolution

To confirm the certificates, you can do one of the following:

Trust the root Certificate Authority (CA).
Pin a particular leaf certificate to confirm these certificates can be trusted.

Cause

For example, in the image below the two certificates are at different indentations. This indicates one is nested or linked to another.

Selecting certificate

In this case, the first one is the root Certification Authority (CA) and the second is a leaf certificate. Any of them can be selected and confirmed as trustworthy to finish setting up the connector.
