The source database has changed

If your source database has changed, we recommend leveraging our 14-day free use period by setting up a new connection with an updated proxy agent and database configuration.

The source database hasn't changed

If your source database hasn't changed, you can avoid issues while configuring a new proxy agent for your connection by doing the following:

1. In Fivetran, go to the applicable connection page.
2. If a sync is in progress, wait until it has completed.
3. In the top right, set the ENABLED toggle to OFF, pausing the connection.
4. Select the Setup tab.
5. Click Edit connection.
6. In the Proxy agents field, click Configure a new proxy agent.
7. Complete the appropriate steps to install and configure the proxy agent on your required server. For more information, see our Configure Proxy Agent documentation.
8. Click Save & Test.
9. Resume the connection by setting the ENABLED toggle to ON.

NOTE: If your connection remains paused for an extended period, consider performing a full re-sync to ensure we capture up-to-date transaction logs and updated rows.
