How Do Manual Syncs Affect Scheduled Syncs?

Question

In Fivetran, I can trigger a sync manually by going to my connection overview page and clicking Sync in the top right. How does this action affect my scheduled syncs?

Answer

If the manual sync finishes before the next scheduled sync, the next sync runs as planned. However, if the manual sync is still running when the next scheduled sync is due to start, we postpone the scheduled sync until the next scheduled interval.
