Is MAR Counted for Historical Data in Priority-First Syncs?
Question
Are Monthly Active Rows (MAR) counted for historical data in a priority-first sync?
Answer
NOTE: If you're a Fivetran customer that signed an annual contract before March 1, 2025, the rules below do not apply to your account. See our Pre-March 2025 Usage and Pricing documentation for more details.
A connection's initial sync counts towards free MAR, regardless of whether the data was from a backward or forward sync. Row updates during the initial sync (changes that we have already synced) may count towards paid MAR after the free trial ends. However, inserts from backward syncs are still free, even after the free trial ends.
IMPORTANT: Connectors that support priority-first sync activate your connections' free trial period as soon as a priority-first sync is initiated and the system detects incremental data.
