Powered by Fivetran
Powered by Fivetran is the embedded version of Fivetran designed for web applications and analytics platforms. It provides the same reliable data replication and automation as Fivetran's core platform, along with additional features such as in-app credential collection and programmatic management of data pipelines directly within your product's environment.
End users can authenticate and connect their data sources through a self-service onboarding process, while you manage everything through the Fivetran REST API. This allows you to focus on delivering data-driven experiences rather than managing data pipelines.

An end user is any customer, group, or person — internal or external to your organization — that you plan to collect data from.
Key benefits
- Faster customer onboarding: Allow end users to authenticate through embedded Fivetran Connect Cards, and set up their data pipelines automatically with the Fivetran REST API.
- Built-in security and compliance: End-user credentials go directly to Fivetran’s secure infrastructure, so you never store them.
- Built for scale: A single Fivetran account can manage thousands of end-user groups, with APIs handling rate limits, retries, and OAuth refresh automatically.
- White-label experience: Add your own branding or build a fully native flow so the integration appears as part of your product.
How Powered by Fivetran works
Powered by Fivetran has the following two core functions:
Programmatic provisioning and management: Use the Fivetran API to automatically create and manage destinations, groups, and connections for each customer or tenant.
In-app credential collection: Collect end-user credentials securely within your product through one of two methods.
- Embedded mode: Allow end users to enter credentials directly within your app via Fivetran Connect Cards. This integrates the Fivetran authentication experience seamlessly into your interface.
- Headless mode: Collect end-user credentials in your app, then securely pass them server-side by calling the relevant Fivetran API endpoints. This keeps the authentication flow within your infrastructure.
