I’m thrilled to announce the opening of a new Fivetran cloud region in Singapore and the formation of a new Fivetran team in the country. Less than a year ago, we launched our APAC HQ in Sydney, and this expansion continues our planned rapid growth and investment in the region.

The Singapore team will provide customer-facing resources across sales, marketing, partnerships and customer service. It will allow us to better support customers and partners in local time zones — and extend our capacity to provide 24/7/365 customer support around the world.

The Singapore cloud region adds to existing cloud regions in the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Australia, improving our ability to provide a global, highly available service infrastructure for customers requiring locally delivered data pipelines. It also allows us to facilitate compliance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), which governs the use of personal data by private organizations. (Noncompliance may result in penalties of up to $1 million, as well as other sanctions.)

Fivetran has always taken a methodical approach to its growth, ensuring that we have the resources and infrastructure in place to support our customers in each region before we enter that market. I’m proud of the APAC team we’ve built and continue to grow, and I’m especially proud of our engineering team, many of whom are located here in APAC. Their work helps our customers reliably move data with speed at scale.

• Consumption-based pricing and SLAs for system uptime and data delivery. Fivetran only charges for what you use and offers volume discounts as your usage grows; our SLAs guarantee both system and data availability.
