2026 Pricing Updates
Read about Fivetran’s pricing updates that start applying as of January 1, 2026.
Minimum charge for connections
A minimum charge will be applied to all standard connections that generate between 1 and 1 million MAR per month. For example, a $5 base charge will be applied on the Standard plan for connections generating between 1 and 1M MAR.
Customers on the PAYG billing plan will now have a minimum spending threshold of $5 per connection. You can see the details in the service consumption table.
When does the change start applying to my account?
The date this change applies to your account depends on which billing option you chose:
- If you are on an annual contract, the changes will take effect only once you renew your contract.
- If you are on a monthly pay-as-you-go plan, the update applies to your account as of January 1, 2026.
- This change does not apply to accounts on the Free plan. There will be no base charge for connections on the Free plan.
What if my connection generates zero paid MAR?
We will not charge any minimum base amount for connections that do not generate paid MAR. Similarly, we do not charge a minimum amount for inactive connections that do not generate any MAR at all.
What if all my connections generate more than 1 million MAR per month?
The cost of your connection that generates more than 1 million MAR remains the same.
Inserts, updates, and deletes count toward paid MAR
As of January 1, 2026, inserts, updates, and deletes will count toward paid MAR. Previously, deletes did not contribute to paid MAR.
Deletes in the source are changes in data that have analytical value. We will treat deletes just like any other changed row, and it will count toward paid MAR.
When does the change start applying to my account?
The following rules apply:
- If you are on an annual contract signed after March 1, 2025, the changes will take effect only once you renew your contract.
- If you are on an annual contract signed before March 1, 2025, the rules pertaining to deletes already apply to your account based on pre-March 2025 pricing rules. You will see no changes.
- If you are on a pay-as-you-go billing plan, the update applies to your account as of January 1, 2026.
If I row is deleted twice in a month, do both of those deletes count toward paid MAR?
No, we only count a row once per month, even if it syncs multiple times. It doesn’t matter how many times a row was updated due to a delete, and you don’t pay multiple times for updates on the same row in the same month.
History mode rows are billed
When you enable history mode, we track repeated updates in a given month. As of January 1, 2026, the changes tracked count toward paid MAR.
Paid MAR for history mode will include the following:
- Inserts and updates
- Repeated updates
We will not charge for rows with no changes. For example:

| 1 | 2026-01-11 | Tom | 2 (Repeated update) |

| 1 | 2026-01-10 | Alex | 3 (Repeated update) |

To change the sync mode:
- Log in to the Fivetran dashboard.
- Go to the Connections tab, then select the relevant connection.
- Go to the Schema tab, which displays information about your connection’s schemas.
