Why do I see a dashboard notification about updating my contract for lower spending?
We’re offering you the option of switching to our updated pricing directly through the Fivetran dashboard. You don't need to contact Sales or wait for your contract renewal.
When you click the notification, you’ll see a comparison of your current spend versus the estimated spend under the updated pricing. We calculate projected costs by reviewing your previous month’s usage at the new rates. Actual charges may vary if your usage changes.
We want to make it quicker and simpler for you to benefit from the updated pricing model, allowing you to do more with Fivetran for the same commitment amount.
When does the updated pricing take effect after I accept?
The updated pricing is applied retroactively from the first day of the month in which you switch, so you’ll be billed at the new rate for the entire month.
For example, if you switch partway through the month, the updated pricing still applies to your usage starting on the first day of that month.
Will my new discount rate apply to my entire remaining contract?
The new discount rate applies starting from the month you switch and will remain in effect for the remainder of your contract term. It does not apply retroactively to the past month’s usage.
Do I still keep existing discounts from my current contract?
No, the new pricing includes its own built-in discount based on your commitment amount. Other discounts or connector promotions under your current contract will be replaced by this new discount structure. However, if you continue using at the same rate, we estimate that your Monthly Spend should still decrease.
Does this update affect my payments or invoices?
Any existing or issued invoices and payments due remain valid. Future charges will use the new pricing.
Contract terms & effective dates
Does my contract end date or other terms change?
No, migrating to the updated pricing means that you are agreeing to the new Service Consumption Table. The other parts of your contract (including annual commit, contract length, MSA terms) remain the same. As described more fully elsewhere, migrating to updated pricing will change only your usage pricing, discount structure, and potentially your plan (but only if you’re on a Starter plan).
Does migrating to updated pricing change my existing contract term?
No, your existing contract term stays the same.
In essence, you maintain your current contract's end date. You’re just switching to an updated pricing model for the remainder of your existing term.
What if I have a negotiated Master Subscription Agreement?
If you have a negotiated Master Subscription Agreement (MSA), migrating to the updated pricing means that you are agreeing to the new Service Consumption Table. The other parts of your contract (including annual commit, contract length, and MSA terms) remain the same. As described more fully in our 2025 Pricing Updates documentation, migrating to updated pricing will change only your usage pricing, discount structure, and your plan if you’re on a Starter plan.
Can I see the updated terms before I amend my contract?
Yes, you can. Click the Order Form Amendment link in the pop-up in your dashboard to download a PDF that shows exactly what is being amended. If you accept, we will email you a signed copy of the document.
Accepting or declining the updated pricing
How do I accept the new pricing?
In your Fivetran dashboard, click Accept in the pop-up about transitioning to the updated pricing. You’ll immediately switch to the updated pricing and receive a signed order form documenting the amendment via email.
You can also send the order form amendment to another signee. To do so, do the following in the dashboard:
- Select the Send to an external signee option.
- Enter their email address.
- Click Send to signee.
The amendment will be forwarded for countersignature.
Do I need to sign a new contract or take any extra steps after accepting?
No, you don't need to take any extra steps after accepting. Once you click Accept, the amendment is automatically executed. A signed copy will be emailed to you. Please note, you will need to renew your contract if you run out of spend balance to continue to benefit from annual contract discounts.
What if I don’t want to switch from my current pricing?
Select Keep Current Pricing in the pop-up. Nothing will change and you’ll remain on the existing pricing model until your next renewal.
What if I accidentally decline and later change my mind?
You won’t see the notification in your dashboard again. However, if you decide to switch later, contact us or contact your Sales representative directly.
What if I’m not ready to decide right now?
Simply close the pop-up. You can always revisit the offer later by clicking the button in the purple banner on the Billing & Usage or Plans page when you're ready to choose.
In your dashboard, go to Billing & Usage > Plans. A banner will remind you about the updated pricing offer. Click the banner’s button to restart the process.
How will I know the migration was successful?
Once you accept, you’ll receive a confirmation message and an email with the signed order form amendment. Your dashboard will update shortly to reflect the new pricing.
How do I get help if I have more questions about the migration to the updated pricing?

- Select Get help > Contact your account manager in your Fivetran dashboard.
- Contact your Fivetran Sales representative directly.
