Fivetran Customer Story: Kiva
Explained by Melissa Fabros, Software Engineer at Kiva, Kiva's data warehouse solution required constant monitoring from a full-time engineer and reloading data took an entire day. As Kiva grew, it needed a better solution and brought on Fivetran to centralize its events data. Once it was evident that Fivetran worked, Kiva integrated its entire MySQL database using Fivetran.
Having a steady stream of data has freed up resources at Kiva, enabling engineers to build microfinance products rather than monitor an ETL process. Kiva can now connect disparate sources together to draw insights, such as matching web events with transactions to see what motivates people to lend. Measuring social impact and partner health enables Kiva to better serve its mission.
